Nick Thompson begins his second season as assistant swim coach at Centre College. A 2010 Centre graduate, Thompson swam for the Colonels all four years, including on the 2008-09 squad that was ranked as high as 25th in Division III. Thompson ended his swimming career at Centre as a member of the school's coveted 500-point club.

In his first off-season as a coach, he was fortunate enough to spend time shadowing his former assistant coach, Sarah Holman, as well as David Marsh at Team Elite practices. Later in the summer, he worked as a camp counselor at the University of Michigan Swim Camps.

“Nick has done a great job for us. It has been fun for me as his former coach to see not only his growth as an individual but his growth as a coach. He has taken advantage of a couple of great learning opportunities with swim MAC as well as Wolverine Swim Camp. His enthusiasm has me really excited about coaching with him this season.”
