Perin enters his second season as the defensive backs coach for the Colonels' staff. Under his leadership, the secondary has played a key role in the success of the defense. In his first season he tutored three all-conference performers including 1st Team All-SCAC selection Jimmie Warren. Warren was third in the conference in passes defended and fourth in interceptions.

Perin comes to Centre after coaching the cornerbacks at Muskingum University in 2009. In his only season at Muskingum the defense improved in every major defensive category and the team had one of the most successful seasons in recent history.

A native of Cincinnati, Ohio, Perin is a 2008 graduate of Centre College.  As a player at Centre, Perin was a four year starter, and in 2007 he was named to the All-SCAC Team.
